Cloud Computing

What is Cloud Computing? And its benefits

Cloud computing:

Accessing your desired files sitting anywhere, anytime just by having a secure internet connection. Cloud computing; The ideal way to deliver enterprise applications through the pubic cloud model. e.g Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce’s CRM System, and Microsoft Azure.
In layman’s terms, Cloud Computing is the delivery of computing services – such as storage databases, networking software, analytics, and intelligence – over the internet. The basic and the most important aim of Cloud Computing is to bypass traditional practices. As in old times, we have to store data in our hard drives or we needed a flash drive or portable ones to access data. But what if we have a meeting and we forget our drive at home. We cant access data but now with cloud computing we can. From any part of the world through the internet.

And make better use of investments than in new hardware or software. With the world growing towards virtual systems. Cloud computing is something like you just has to create an account on desired service providers and start using it by uploading documents, pictures, software anything you want. Then you can access it by just login with your credentials from any part of the world.

Benefits of Cloud computing:

Considered to be the next big thing, three distinct characteristics differentiate cloud computing from traditional web hosting:

  • Sold on Demand – It’s no more about predicting the storage or services you’ll need in the future. Instead, it’s about what it is today. A user may have as much or as little of a service depending upon the need at the given time with the Service being fully managed by the provider. This makes it cost-effective and network efficient.
  • Public or Private – Available to anyone or everyone or explicitly designed as per your requirements.
A public cloud is meant to sell services to anyone over the World Wide Web such as Amazon Web Services. On the other hand, the private cloud is a proprietary network. Limited to a specific number of people depends on their requirements.
  • Storage – No more, hard drives, it’s all about third-party servers now. The service is location free you can access your data from anywhere by just accessing your account within seconds. There is no need to travel or to reach any specific place for accessing your data.

3 Major Service Models:

Service models of Cloud Computing also known as ” Cloud Computing Stack ” because they are built on each other.

These includes:

  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): The lowest level cloud service paradigm and yet the most important. This works by providing pre-configured hardware resources to customers through a virtual network. Unlike the rest of the two, it doesn’t include applications, or operating systems rather enables access to infrastructure to support specific software. e.g, Gmail, Salesforce & Google Docs
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS): Also known as “middleware”, which falls between IaaS and SaaS. Aiming to provide a platform for users to manage applications. It helps organizations eliminate the need to build infrastructures. Traditionally used to develop applications. e.g Amazon Web Service, & AppEngine.
  • Software as a Service (SaaS): As the “on-demand software”, SaaS is a software licensing and delivery model where the complete and fully functional product is delivered to users over the web on a subscription basis. e.g & Go Grid.

Augmented Reality-Reshaping the Future

What is augmented reality?

Why is it in such limelight for almost a decade? Wondering all about what Augmented Reality is & how it is brought to work in real life? Let us take you through the basic understanding of Augmented Reality and give you vivid insight into its future world.

Augmented Reality:

The most significant technology trend today because it lets us visualize the digital world and merges it with the real one. In easy terms, AR allows us to see the natural – life environment through the naked eye with digital automation laid upon it. One of the everyday examples of Augmented Reality is the Snapchat Filters and using Voice Search to boost the location accuracy. One of the fun features Snapchatpioneers in is using the Bitmoji to show the location of every individual in your friend’s list on a visual map. Interesting, isn’t it?

In Business:

Discussing one of the great uses of Augmented Reality in the business world is the IKEA Mobile App. This application, through the use of AR, aims to make the shopping experience of their consumers more comfortable and more inspiring. It helps you see how a furniture piece from their collection would fit in your space. Isn’t that amazing? You can check which color palette goes well with your desired furniture piece. Which rug would complete the look of your living area? Seems like a great idea!

In Medical:

This is just one aspect; AR is an excellent help in the medical world too. We being human might not ponder upon this and go into its depth with the naked eye. But this is what aids neurosurgeons to get a better understanding of the human brain through a 3D projection. This lets surgeons mentally transform two dimensional (2D) patient x-rays, Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI), or Computed Tomography (CT Scans) to 3D computer – rendered models of anatomy. Through this, they get a clear picture of the internal organs, which lets them plan accordingly.

In Games:

The great use of AR in the niche of gaming as you ever played Pokémon Go or Jurassic World Alive? For sure! Who hasn’t? Run up to the Pokémon and get a chance to achieve an excellent throw bonus or even have a picture-perfect opportunity. Not too fast, not too slow – make sure to keep to dodge the Pokémon in the real world for a great catch. Don’t like this idea enough? Interact with dinosaurs in the real world, pinch them to give a miniature touch, or go all enormous with your favorite pick.
I’m excited to see the world shift to Augmented Reality, are you?
